Ed Razzano Joins The Team

Based in Cape Town and a dedicated squash enthusiast, Ed has recently agreed to join up with the SquashZone team in our bid to bring you everything squash related in and about South Africa. Ed will be a tremendous asset to the site and will be a significant contributor to the content in the near future (as long as the swell isn't pumping).

Welcome Ed!

More cool stuff on SquashZone PDF Print E-mail

As the season get´s busier and busier for the pro´s overseas there are still events being held in SA which is great to see. The website is continuing to grow and we´ve added some more cool features which we hope you enjoy.

  • Chat Forum: We now have a forum on the website that some of you have been using already. It is accessible via the top menu strip. You have to be logged in to view posts and to submit your own, so if you have not registered then now is the time to do so. Create your own ´thread´, discuss topics that others have brought up and just generally have your say. This promises to be a great feature.
  • National Ranking: We now publish the Men´s and Women´s National Rankings on the website, these are accessible via the main menu on the left of the page. The maintenance and mathematics of the rankings are in Squash SA´s hands and our page is the latest that they publish. Perhaps a good topic for the forum!?
  • Entry Forms: We have just included a feature that allows us to upload documents to the website for you to download. This will hopefully make entry forms more accessible for everyone and increase subscriptions to tournaments. If you have a tournament coming up then please send us your entry form and we will stick it up on the site for everyone to get hold of. When available the entry forms will appear on the right of the page so keep your eye out.

We really hope that you take advantage of these new features and enjoy them to their full potential. Again if you have any suggestions and would like to see anything else on the website or issues to be discussed then let us know. We are open to anything and everything so let us hear it.

New additions PDF Print E-mail
After a relatively successful release, Squashzone is on a mission to steadily improve itself as a source of information for all things squash in South Africa. The next tournament on the calendar to be reported on will be the Western Province Open which starts on the 11th of June. The bottom of each page now has two links: 'About us' which enables you, the viewers, to get to know the website team which will be expanding as time goes on and we start bringing more and more content to you. The second link as you can see is 'Contact us' which is an avenue for you all to let us know what you think of the site, make suggestions or complaints, basically keep us on our toes. We look forward to your comments. There are also a whole load of photos from the latter stages of the Nationals that have just been put up, take a peak!

WELCOME TO SQUASHZONE!

It gives me great pleasure to announce the launch of, and welcome you to, this new website. This will be a simple, easy and fun way to keep up with South Africa’s top squash players during the local season and also on their performances and activities on the PSA and WISPA World tours. The site will be closely following all the major local tournaments in what promises to be a tremendously exciting season with a new batch of younger players challenging the ‘old guard’ for the top spots. When the season ends and a lot of the players head back to Europe to continue their relentless quest of climbing the world rankings we will be right behind them and reporting back to you. I hope that you enjoy exploring the site, we will be improving the diversity and content as the season goes on but for now… enjoy the reports and pics.
